BW Consultants is an operations consultancy from the Stuttgart region. Our industry focus is on automotive, defence and aviation. Our core topics are rooted in operations.
We are brought in when a supplier does not deliver, a series launch is delayed or a quality problem is blocking day-to-day business.
We take on the task in the plant, at the supplier and on the line, and see it through to an accepted result. For this we are looking for people who have been responsible for such situations themselves.

Senior Consultant Operations (m/f/d)Quality · Supplier management · Launch · On site with the client
Your responsibilities
- You take on complaint and escalation cases in the plant and at the supplier and see them through to approval under APQP, PPAP or comparable procedures.
- You safeguard suppliers: selection, development, capacity during launch and escalation down to tier 2, including negotiations with the supplier's management.
- You lead launch, industrialisation and restructuring projects with responsibility for schedule, budget and results.
- You work directly with the client, from supervisor to managing director, and directly with the owner.
Your profile
- At least ten years of professional experience in the automotive industry, defence, aviation or a related industry, mostly in operational roles.
- Hands-on experience in quality, supplier management and project management.
- Strength in execution and leadership that convinces on the shopfloor as much as in the boardroom.
- Business-fluent German, project-level English, high willingness to travel.
Junior Consultant Operations (m/f/d)Project support · Analysis · Implementation in the plant
Your responsibilities
- You work on client projects and take responsibility for clearly defined work packages.
- You analyse supply chains, processes and KPIs on site and prepare decisions for clients and project management.
- You implement measures together with the client's people and follow them through to the result.
- You learn directly from experienced consultants and from the owner, with a clear development path.
Your profile
- A degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable subject.
- First experience in production, procurement, supply chain or quality, for example through internships, working student roles or a first job.
- Hands-on mentality, conceptual ability and enjoyment of working on site.
- Business-fluent German, fluent English, willingness to travel.
Interim Manager Operations (m/f/d)Procurement · Supply chain · Quality · Production · Mandates of three months or more
The role
- Our clients fill interim leadership positions through BW Consultants: head of procurement, head of supply chain, head of quality, and plant and production management.
- For this we are building a fixed circle of interim managers whose way of working we know.
- Before the first mandate there is a personal conversation, not a database entry.
Your profile
- At least one leadership position with line responsibility in the automotive industry or a related industry, including at least five years in operations in the plant or in the supply chain.
- Availability for mandates of three months or more, mostly on site. No parallel mandates during an assignment.
- Business-fluent German, project-level English.
